EDA as a Solution: enabling world class dynamic design and foundry facing workflows
DescriptionIn this talk, we explore how design teams can leverage the IBM Cloud for either hybrid cloud burst or cloud only infrastructure to realize projects that would otherwise be constrained by compute resources. In the first half of this talk, we explain the components of EDA as a Solution (EDAaaS) and why they are important for assembling cloud infrastructure to seamlessly burst or provision new EDA infrastructure. We then explore several examples of digital design flows, characterization flows, and foundry facing workloads that demonstrate how to enable burst flows multi-geography teams as well as cloud only distributed workloads. Finally, we explore how one might enable cloud native future workloads through Kubernetes flows for optical proximity correction.
