Scalable Heterogenous Photonic Systems with Design Automation
DescriptionThe rapid advancement of AI necessitates increasingly powerful computing platforms, driving the demand for high-bandwidth photonic interconnects. However, designing and optimizing photonic devices remains a complex and time-consuming process, hindering the pace of innovation. We demonstrate how critical a high-throughput simulation engine and automated design approach are for future applications such as heterogeneously integrated photonic devices. We then present our simulation platform that leverages the machine learning hardware and software stack to enable the optimization and demonstrate next generation of photonic devices needed to power the data fabrics of tomorrow's datacenters.
