M. Hassan Najafi
Biography
Dr. M. Hassan Najafi is an Assistant Professor with the ECSE Department of Case Western Reserve University (CWRU). Before that he was an Assistant Professor with the School of Computing and Informatics, University of Louisiana. Hassan received his B.Eng. in Computer Engineering from the University of Isfahan, Iran, in 2011, his M.Sc. in Computer Architecture from the University of Tehran, Iran, in 2014, and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, in 2018. His research interests include: Stochastic and Approximate Computing, Low Power VLSI Design, Unary Processing, Hyperdimensional Computing, Processing In Memory, and Computer Architecture. He authored/co-authored more than 90 peer-reviewed papers and has been granted 6 U.S. patents, with more pending. He was a recipient of the NSF CAREER award in 2024. Dr. Najafi is an IEEE Senior Member.
