SUMMARY:IEEE 2416 System Power Modeling Working Group Open Meeting: Sponso
 red by Si2
DESCRIPTION:Nagu Dhanwada (IBM) and Leigh Anne Clevenger (Si2, Inc.)\n\nIn
the current dynamically changing landscape of computing, growth of artifi
cial intelligence (AI) applications have caused an exponential increase in
energy consumption, re-emphasizing the need for managing power footprint
in chip design. To manage this escalating energy footprint and enabling tr
ue system level low power design, modeling standards play a key role to fa
cilitate inter-operability and re-use. IEEE 2416, the ”IEEE Standard for P
ower Modeling to Enable System Level Analysis”, introduced in 2019, offers
a unified framework spanning system-level to detailed design, facilitatin
g comprehensive low power design for entire systems. This standard also en
ables efficiency through contributor-based Process, Voltage, and Temperatu
re (PVT) independent power modeling.\n\nIEEE 2416-2025 will include produc
tion industry-driven extensions in analog/mixed-signal, system modeling, a
nd multi-voltage scenarios. Join this open meeting of the IEEE 2416 Workin
g Group to learn how the upcoming release will enhance system power modeli
ng productivity for you and your company. Attendees will include system de
signers and architects, logic and circuit designers, validation engineers,
CAD managers, researchers, and academicians.\n\nDiscussions include\no	Ne
w, advanced features focused on system power modeling in IEEE 2416-2025\no
Discussion of IEEE 2416-2025 ballot pool feedback and high-priority actio
ns\no	Status and final steps for standardization\n\nRegister now! For more
